 Accountability at Its Best.
PROTRAC Security is a guard tour software system that is used with mobile bar code readers or hand-held devices to document that security officers have visited their required check points. With each scan of a bar code at specific sites, the time, date and location of each security inspection is recorded, offering management unprecedented accountability for their security staff’s route activities.
To set up the system, security managers simply place bar codes at specific areas that need to be checked. Security officers are then supplied with inspection routes that are generated by the software. Personnel use their mobile bar code readers or hand-held devices to scan the bar codes at each designated check point. Once the routes are completed, the devices are inserted into a cradle that uploads the inspection data to a central database. The system then allows management to generate reports and charts detailing when all inspection activities occurred. Customers who choose to use Palm devices can enhance their security data through unique functions such as work order generation and detailed reports outlining inspection tasks.
